2021 Grants for Good Recipients
Congratulations to our 2021 Grants for Good recipients! Through Grants for Good, Invest in Others awarded grants of up to $20,000 to provide funding to meet the critical needs of nonprofits and respond to challenges as they arise. Any person who works in the financial services ecosystem was eligible to apply on behalf of a nonprofit.
Abington Health Foundation
The grant will support the Safe Harbor program, which helps children, teens, parents, & caregivers cope with the loss of a loved one through grief counseling, art/music therapy, support groups, camps & more. This grant was secured by Donna Kendrick of Sephton Financial.
Fuquay Varina Junior Woman's Club
The grant will be used to purchase pre-packaged meals for eleven local Elementary, Middle and High Schools for six months, serving over 1,000 students in need. This grant was secured by Valerie Seymour of Complete Financial Solutions.
Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure, Inc.
The grant will help support the Beds-for-Babes program, which will provide 150 beds and mattresses for single mothers and their children. This grant was secured by Carlos Forde of MassMutual – Perimeter.
NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore
The grant will be used to support the NAMI Ending the Silence program which provides educational presentations to students and families about mental health. This grant was secured by Stephen Spurrier of Old Orchard Wealth Solutions.
Partnership to End Human Trafficking (PEHT)
The grant will cover the cost of financial literacy workshops and resume building courses for 36 survivors of human trafficking. This grant was secured by Cliff Faircloth of Bluerock Capital Markets.
Wings for Widows
The grant will help produce a robust library of short video tutorials covering a wide range of topics geared toward widows; such as budgeting, debt management, property ownership, house maintenance and more. This grant was secured by Christopher Bentley of Ameriprise Financial Services.
