About Us

about us

The inspiration for our organization came directly from the financial advisors who invest in others by giving back to their communities with overwhelming generosity and dedication. Mark Casady, Chairman and CEO of LPL Financial, was moved to establish a public charity devoted to recognizing this valuable work, and the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation was founded in 2006.

Invest in Others amplifies the charitable work of financial advisors, employees, and their firms by sharing their stories and awarding funding to the non-profits they care so much about. By recognizing those that are making a difference, we promote philanthropy and encourage others to get involved.

Over the past ten years, thanks to the ongoing support of our corporate sponsors, we’ve recognized advisors from a diverse range of firms, from wirehouses and independent broker-dealers to RIAs, and partnered with charities across a spectrum of causes.

Our Programs

Invest in Others Awards

The Invest in Others Awards program, previously known as the Community Leadership Awards, recognizes the charitable work of financial advisors and financial services firms in communities across the country and around the world.

Awards are presented at our signature event, the annual Invest in Others Awards Gala. Over 500 advisors and financial services executives attend this premier event each year to celebrate those individuals and firms that actively give back to their communities.

Since 2006, Invest in Others has donated more than $2 million to a variety of causes supported by the individuals and firms recognized through this program.

Day of Service

The Invest in Others Day of Service is a unique opportunity for advisors and individuals working in the financial services industry to come together and volunteer side-by-side to make an impact through service projects. The Day of Service is an annual event held at a New York-area non-profit the day following the Invest in Others Awards Gala. Our first Day of Service in 2015 was held at the New York Common Pantry and our second Day of Service in 2016 was held at the Grand Street Settlement.
