Crossmark Global Investments of Houston, TX has many unique philanthropic programs that set them apart. In addition to a traditional matching gift program, which offers a match of up to $250 on employee donations, the firm also created a Dollars for Doers program. Crossmark donates cash for volunteer hours that employees contribute to eligible organizations. The goal is to get employees volunteering in a hands-on way as opposed to only opening their wallets.
Crossmark also organizes an annual service trip to Haiti for its employees. Last year nine employees flew to Haiti and partnered with the Mission of Hope Haiti campus to build houses for families affected by earthquakes. While only a handful of employees volunteered on the ground in Haiti, the entire firm rallied around this cause, with all employees participating in the Blue to Block Program which also helps house Haitian citizens.
