Fuquay Varina Junior Woman’s Club
$7,500 for Food Insecurity Bins
Grant Secured by Valerie Seymour | Complete Financial Solutions, Inc., Fidelity

In what capacity are you involved with this organization?
“I have been involved with the Fuquay-Varina Junior Woman’s Club for six years now, volunteering an average of 20 hours per month. I am currently on their Board of Directors, am their former Treasurer, and have held several committee chair positions.”
What is the grant for and how will it benefit the community?
The Fuquay-Varina Junior Woman’s Club has over 30 members who share the common desire to serve their community through volunteer service while building lasting friendships. The $7,500 grant from Invest in Others will be used to purchase pre-packaged meals for eleven local elementary, middle and high schools for 6 months. These ‘food insecurity bins’ will be placed in the front office to give those students who are food insecure the ability to privately grab a bag to add to their backpack to take home. This grant is anticipated to help over 1,000 students.
