“I have been involved with HOME for 7 years, volunteering about 15 hours per month. I currently sit on the Board of Directors and enjoy volunteering by moving and picking up furniture donations and serving at dinners hosted for the women.”
What is the grant for and how will it benefit the community?
Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure (HOME) brings immediate tangible resources to single mothers who are recovering from divorce, domestic violence, incarceration, relocation and various forms of hardship. The $20,000 grant from Invest in Others will be used to to purchase beds and mattresses for 150 single mothers and their children through its Beds-for-Babes program.
