Invest in Others Charitable Foundation to Host Second Annual 5K Run/Walk in Boston on July 26, 2010

Boston, MA – July 26, 2010 – Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, Inc., a public charity that supports the philanthropic and volunteer efforts of financial advisors across the country, will host its Second Annual 5K Run/Walk at Pleasure Bay in Boston on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Through the race, Invest in Others will make a donation on behalf of 5K participants culminating in a $30,000 donation to Pine Street Inn, a Boston-based charity committed to ending homelessness.

The funds will be used toward their new Hartford Street Project, a 16-unit supportive housing program for homeless U.S. veterans that Pine Street Inn is preparing to open in the fall of 2010. In addition, Invest in Others will award the top three male and female financial advisor finishers with a generous donation to the charity of their choice.

 The race is open to the public, including runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels. O

WHO: Financial industry professionals and their families from across the country, individuals affiliated with Pine Street Inn, and runners and walkers from the Greater Boston area

WHEN: Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Check-in is from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m., the Run/Walk is from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m., and the awards program is at 8:00 a.m.
 WHERE: USA Track & Field sanctioned course along scenic Pleasure Bay and Fort Independence at the intersection of William J. Day Boulevard at Farragut Road in Boston
