Lenape Valley Foundation
Penn Wealth Planning
Lenape Valley Foundation works with members of the greater Doylestown, Penn. community grappling with mental health issues, substance abuse, intellectual or development challenges as they pursue their personal aspirations and an enhanced quality of life. “Recovery” is individually defined and shaped by each person. Lenape works to provide services, information, hope and support for each individual along their road to recovery. Areas that Lenape’s programming may address include mental and physical health, family and social life, education and work, recreation and spirituality.
Lisa first became involved with Lenape Valley Foundation when her son, Brian, received services for intellectual disabilities. She learned first-hand how the organization’s programming and its host of caring staff members can make a positive difference in a person’s life. As a volunteer and active Lenape Valley Foundation Board Member, Lisa played an invaluable role in co-chairing a capital campaign to build a residential crisis center known as “The Lodge” and raised more than $1.75 million in funding. The Lodge takes an innovative approach to serve individuals in acute behavioral health crisis by providing guests with the opportunity to recover in a home-like atmosphere with 24/7 support, which staff believe will lead to better health outcomes.
