For over 28 years , Roger Reynolds has volunteered closely with the Outdoors for All Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through inclusion in outdoor recreation.  Roger has touched the lives of thousands of children and adults with disabilities as a lead volunteer, board member, executive board member, financial advisor, donor and capital campaign chair with Outdoors for All Foundation. Roger is one of the Foundation’s longest-standing volunteers.  He values his volunteerism in the disability community because he receives continuous inspiration by witnessing the tenacity, accomplishments and success those participating in the organization’s programs achieve – Always persevere!!!

Roger began volunteering with Outdoors for All Foundation in 1991 as a ski instructor.  He quickly moved up to senior volunteer instructor and began training other instructors. During this period, Roger spent roughly 220 hours per year working directly with children and adults with disabilities.  Ten years later, Roger began volunteering behind the scenes and joined the Board of Directors where he set a standard of excellence that regularly inspired his peers to tackle challenges.  In 2008, he began serving as a pro-bono investment advisor for the foundation’s investment accounts. Roger’s current role with the organization began in 2016, when he agreed to chair the Foundation’s $10MM capital campaign, Launching Possibilities. The project will acquire  a new base-camp facility, as well as raise money for programming and new adaptive equipment to support the 750 volunteers and 2,650 annual program participants.  Roger has risen to the challenge and has led the organization to raise over $3M dollars to date.

Roger recognizes the value Outdoors for All Foundation holds by allowing people with different abilities to find fulfillment in a supportive but challenging environment.  Additionally, Outdoors for All Foundation creates opportunities for able-bodied individuals to interact with the disabled community. This context creates a multiplier effect of inclusion, understanding and advocacy for those living with a disability.
