If I am able to use my knowledge to help women get to a place of financial security, I feel it is my moral obligation to make this happen.

The Hope House provides respite and relief from the obstacles of living homeless through offering & expanding transitional housing and supportive services for women and their children as they transform their lives into self-sufficiency. The Hope House addresses some of the communities’ toughest problems – successfully helping homeless women and children achieve housing stability. By also offering a broad array of services such as economic self-sufficiency, education, job training, employment assistance, health care, case management and mental health counseling, the Hope House helps women develop the skills they need to gain/regain their independence.

Cristen Morgan first learned about Hope House Foundation in 2018 when she met Debbie O’Handley and was inspired by the organization’s mission. Cristen has been on the Board of Directors since 2019 and has also served as a financial literacy coach providing workshops specifically crafted for women living through a crisis. One of Cristen’s proudest accomplishments in her work for Hope House involved securing donors to fund the construction of residential cottages, adaptly named Courage, Joy and Hope.
