Family and Children’s Services
Northwestern Mutual
Cullen Douglass is passionate about serving children who cannot speak for themselves and his work with Family and Children’s Services allows him to reach those children, ensuring they do not fall through the cracks in the greater Nashville community. Cullen played an instrumental role in bringing two organizations — Family and Children’s Services (FCS) and Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) — together with an affiliation agreement. Committing hundreds of hours to the process over a two year period, Cullen’s leadership allowed CASA to maintain much of its autonomy and governance, but share building space with FCS, access to FCS’s management and clinical team, and some Board oversight. This innovative solution allows both organizations to continue serving Nashville’s at-risk children and families, providing safety net services to connect individuals to hope, to healing, and to one another.
Cullen is an active fundraiser for both FCS and CASA. He actively recruits corporate sponsors, fills event tables with associates, and co-chairs an annual fundraiser with his wife. During the past three years, he has helped raise nearly $1 million dollars to support the programs of FCS and CASA.
