David Tornetto

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of St. Louis provides temporary housing and other support services for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at local hospitals. The organization develops partnerships with hospitals and other community organizations in order to increase access to quality, affordable health care and provide high quality facilities, personnel and volunteers to best accommodate families’ needs. By serving families in these ways, RMHC St. Louis promotes family-centered care and allows families to focus on what matters most – the health of their child.

David Tornetto has volunteered with RMHC St. Louis for more than two decades. To David, his work with the organization has become more than a mere volunteer opportunity but an integrated part of who he is as a person. As a volunteer, he sees firsthand how childhood illness can cause emotional and financial strain on families. David was instrumental in creating the Caring Hearts Legacy Circle, RMHC St. Louis’s planned giving program. This program raised more than $4 million in revenue since 2005. Additionally, David participated in Long Range Planning for the organization and helped grow Planned Giving from $670,000 in 2012 to more than $2.2M million in 2019. David is an unmatched force in ensuring RMHC St. Louis has the organizational and financial stability for continued growth and expansion of services for years to come.
