Richard England Jr.
Volunteer of the Year Award
Mr. Richard England, Jr., a master of the Spanish language, began his humanitarian efforts 15 years ago as a mentor to homeless youth through the Latin American Youth Center in Washington, DC, an organization which helps over 4,000 multicultural low-income youths through culturally-sensitive programs to encourage academic achievement, career skills, and community involvement. Considered a “board member for life,” Mr. England, a CFP and senior wealth advisor for Madison Wealth Management in Bethesda, MD, enlisted the help of his family and colleagues to help fund a $3 million facility. With donations from his family foundation, a $5 million fund was launched to ensure the Center’s financial health and stability.
