Todd Johnson

I’ve witnessed numerous families’ lives transform from having no home to simply having a safe and sound structure to live in. Changing the cycle of poverty is priceless.

Todd Johnson was looking for a service organization where he could get involved in a meaningful way beyond writing a check and began volunteering with Youth With A Mission in 2012. He began working with YWAM’s Homes of Hope program as a group leader, where he is responsible for assembling a team of volunteers to build homes in Mexico each year. Todd takes 200 volunteers on these home building mission trips annually and has participated in 13 trips resulting in 77 homes being built.

Todd also advances the organization’s mission of providing homes to the homeless by fundraising for his mission trips and using 100% of all monies raised to build homes. Homes of Hope breaks the cycle of poverty for many third world families by providing one of the most basic human needs – shelter. Todd has witnessed volunteers transform on his trips as they view their wealth in a much different light and become more intentional with their generosity when they return to their families.
