2016 Community Service Award Finalist
Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach
Over the past ten years, Trent Bryson has worked closely with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach, providing financial expertise and guidance as a member of its Board of Directors. B&GC of Long Beach strives to enable all young people to realize their full potential as caring, responsible and productive citizens. Each year, the organization serves 4,200 at-risk youth, providing services such as college and career preparation, character and leadership development, and recreational activities.
Earlier this year, Trent was elected to serve as Chair of the organization’s 40-person Board. Under his leadership, B&GC of Long Beach raised more than $1 million dollars at its annual gala – a staggering amount that broke local fundraising records. In addition to serving as Board Chair, Trent also works directly with club members as a mentor. Trent values B&GC of Long Beach because it provides a sense of security and belonging to kids that need it most. He sees his work with the B&GC Long Beach as transformational, not only for himself, but also for the young lives that are positively impacted.
