Equitable access to education remains one of the greatest challenges in our nation. Our impact on Los Angeles, where I call home, inspires me to stay engaged.
The Fulfillment Fund mission is to make college a reality for students growing up in educationally and economically under-resourced communities. The organization’s vision is that all students, regardless of circumstances, will one day have the opportunity to attend college, graduate, and actively participate in transforming their communities and creating a better society. Last year, the organization served more than 2,777 Los Angeles students who graduated both high school and college at higher rates than the general Los Angeles Unified School District population.
Wendy Spinner has been involved with the Fulfillment Fund for more than 30 years. Her journey with the organization first began as a mentor to a low-income student who went on to be the first in his family to attend college. Over the past four years, Wendy served as Board Chair and was instrumental in revitalizing the organization, strengthening capacity and establishing the Fulfillment Fund as a fiscally sound leader in the college access and success space.
