Mark M. Goldberg, a financial services veteran with over 35 years of experience, has led several financial services companies and investment management firms.  He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Griffin Capital Securities, LLC, which was sold to Apollo Global Management in March of 2022. Mr. Goldberg was previously Chairman of Carey Financial, LLC, President of W.P. Carey Investment Management, LLC, Managing Director of W.P. Carey Inc., as well as other senior executive positions at affiliated companies and investment funds. Before joining W.P. Carey, Mr. Goldberg served as Chief Executive Officer and President of AIG-Royal Alliance, Executive Vice President of SunAmerica Financial Network and President of AIG Securities, Tokyo.

Mr. Goldberg serves on the Executive Committee of the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation and as its Immediate Past Chair.  He also serves on the Board Executive Committee of St. Mary’s Healthcare for Children and chairs its Governance Committee. He was a founding member of the Financial Services Institute and the former Chair Emeritus, Chairman and Board Member of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA). He was the 2016 recipient of the IPA’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his work on behalf of the alternative investment industry. Mr. Goldberg is a sought-after consultant, thought leader and prolific writer. He speaks on issues related to advisor advocacy and investment solutions as well as regulatory and governmental matters and other significant issues affecting the financial services industry.
